In the past we were diverse peoples who were intrinsically local. Because of that locality we had temples or places of worship, ceremonial caves, buildings or mountaintops.

Gathering of the wild seeds. 

Last weekend I performed at a resilience gathering in a backways bit of big bush that they call The Nook—a collection of people building parallel systems in the forest. No phones allowed on the property. No documentation. Just presence and participation and listening.

I've always had a hunch, supported by simply opening my eyes and looking at history - that the ‘big men’, as I used to call them are more often than not coming for your shit.
